FIA Graduation

Today is the Graduation day for the one-year course which I have managed to make 60 over friends. It is a year filled with excitement, stress, fun, pressure, well basically it's quite hard to describe, it just contains everything! =)

Before the graduation ceremony, although its satisfying to know that I have managed to pass my final semester examination, the worries remain as no results are revealed to the us, especially when I want to know about my marks for Psychology and Culture & Performance in which I fare quite poorly. Fortunately enough the marks turn out very positively =D And I'm very glad that I manage to obtain scholarships for my degree studies which can really ease my parents burden.

To all FIA friends, It has been a very very entertaining years with you all! I treasure every moment we been through: the never-ending presentations (now ended), Drama, carnival, group projects.....The experience with you all made up a chapter of my life! For those taking courses other than Sunway Lancaster's Accounting and Finance, I wish you all the best for your studies and always remember you have a friend in me! =)

To those taking Accounting and Finance, well, we'll just meet next year. Till then, enjoy the hols! XD

One big family!

Melaka Trip- Part 3 (final)

Hmm...how time flies, its already been the last day of the wonderful Melaka trip.

After the usual 'morning-waking-up' activities, Sunny drove us to a dim sum restaurant for breakfast. Well, the dim sum shop is nothing unusual to those seen the Selangor. But there's one notable difference I have to mentioned. The Large-size pau (dai pau) is the same size as Char Siew pau....(why then call it as dai pau?=.=) The food there was not bad. Initially Sunny suggest to bring us to another restaurant but in the end everyone just voted to anticipate for the later meal in which Sunny said that he will bring us to a Baba Nyonya style restaurant for lunch.

After the breakfast, we first went to buy tickets for both D and ZS at the Melaka Sentral. Nothing special happened there, but when they went to buy the bus tickets, I kinda visualize how the both of them cam whore in the bus, lol, epic imagination (you would not want to know! XD) Later Sunny fetched us to Tan Kim Hock souvenir shop for us to get some Melaka specialties before we depart. Almost the stuff there could be found in Selangor but I manage to grab the Cocunut Biscuit in which Sunny highly recommended.

Soon, it was noon time --- time for another meal! As promised, Sunny brought us to the Baba Nyonya style restaurant for lunch (sorry I dun remember the name...) . We ordered a sweet and sour fish, an omelet, spicy kangkung (wow, we had kangkung for 3 consecutive days!) and a minced meat tauhu. The fish was merely sour-ish......but I guess its Nyonya style? Other dishes not much comment, the overall I'll give it a rating of 3.5 out of 5. Ah, I nearly forget to thank our dearest ZS for finishing the fish crackers and the fish particularly! Gosh, he really has big appetite!

Then its time to pack off. We rolled all the relevent stuff into our bags and its time to part......=( We thank Sunny and his family for their walmest reception throughout the holiday then started our journey back Subang at around 3 pm. On the way back, we passed through the same amount of traffic lights and this time, no more chickens or wedding cars though! (XD) It was really a tiring 2 hours journey back Subang from Melaka (highest appreciation to HK for driving all of us throughout the Trip, really glad to have friends like him!) Oh ya, the trip back was fulling --- we had tasty complimentary pineapple tarts from Sunny's mum, they seriously taste good! One more thing, the weather in Selangor and Melaka has quite a big difference: we depart with a sunny and hot weather in Melaka, but end up in a heavy rain upon reaching Subang!

Thank you to:
HK - for selflessly driving us from Subang to Melaka and all the other journeys in Melaka
Sunny - for being a wonderful host and taking the effort of bringing us to various locations in Melaka
Sunny's family - for granting us the permission to sleep at their house upon our visit, meal treat and the pineapple tarts.
D, HH, HK, Sunny, SA, SM and ZS - for bringing in the fun and memories throughout the trip!

That's the end for an awesome trip to the Historical City -Melaka! I will certainly look forward for more such trips! =)

PS: To D who is currently joining the Malaysian squad in Laos, Good luck and bring us some good news!

Melaka Trip- Part 2

Started the day with the fragrance of the pineapple tarts, Sunny's mum is really a very hardworking and talented pineapple tarts sifu, just moving down to the kitchen can smell the aroma of the tarts.....

Since its around 10.30 when we get ourselves ready, its almost time for another 'Brunch' session. Sunny took us to have a meal of Melaka's famous Chicken Rice Ball. Each of us had 5 rice balls, which Sunny suggest is equivalent to one bowl of rice (well, dunno why, eating rice balls seem to be less filling than a bowl of rice, maybe psychological illusion effects?XD). The texture of the rice ball is nice and the overall taste was good. The chicken was normal but the main focus lies within the rice ball. The time we reached the shop which is situated in the end of the Jonker Street, the crowd has started to built up. Eventually, scene of crowd lining outside the shop is inevitable......

After the meal, its time to explore the landmark of Melaka: the Red House aka Rumah Belanda! On the way to the structure, went over to some excavation sites with ancient city walls, no wonder Melaka ia known as the Historical City. Then saw a lot of familiar tricycles with flowery designs, its amazing some travel along with rap kinda music or famous MJ beats! After the red house visit and a few cam whore session, its time to move on to the St. Paul Institute, which is located in the tip of a hill. There located gravestones of various former Dutch, Portuguese and British's residents in Melaka. Since the gravestones are craved in Latin, its kinda amazing when you touched upon them, it has a very realistic historical feel as if they are just made yesterday. Moving down later, we got ourselves in the infamous remains of the A-Famosa wall.

After all those, went for cendol session. This time, upon Sunny's recommedation, we try another stall of cendol in the Jonker Street. The shop is acctually another seller of chicken rice balls, but additionally they also sell cendol. Out of a rating of 5, I would give 4 marks for it! =)

We're once again ahead of schedule which Sunny has planned. So he decided to bring us on a car tour around Melaka. We went along to see along landmarks such as the Eye on Malaysia, Dataran Pahlawan, the Airport and also the AEON supermarket.....however, one of us is not paying too much attention to the tour----the person who said "maybe" when we asked did we go to the airport ( you know who you are....XD)

Evening time, went to the Capitol Satay, wanted to have steamboat with satay sauce being the 'sup', but eventually switching to another shop after the former close down on the particular day (no idea why). First time eating such stuff, but it was very interesting upon tasting it. The food such as prawn, fish balls, chicken meat and other usual steamboat stuff was served in sticks, and they are soaked into the bath of satay sauce before being eaten. A man had to constantly come and stir the pot in which the peanuts of the satay sauce have condensed down (haiz, so mafan!) But I will particularly rate the combination of 'Yao Char Guai" with Satay sauce the highest among all.

After the meal, went to the Portuguese Settlement which is situated near the sea. When I first got off the car and walk towards the small jetty area, I still remember a man, a restaurant owner keep on recommmeding his restaurants good food. "If you're hungry sir, come drop by our restaurant there, we serve good food and most importantly it has a family style of cooking" the man said sincerely. Gotta check out his food in the future! We relaxed ourselves by enjoying the sea breeze and the waves near the small jetty which keeps on giving out squeeking sounds here and then....

Late in the night, after a quick bath by everyone at Sunny's house, its time for 'Yum Cha' session. Sunny tried to invite a few of his friends to a mamak stall and introduce them to us (at the same time, giving SM some partner choices =P) Unfortunenately, other than the introduction part, the rest of the 'yum cha' session went by as if 2 different gangs of friends are meeting up instead of blending together....(sad case for Sunny who is the centreman among the 2 groups)

Later returing to Sunny's house, the others still have games of UNO while I opt to sleep =)

Quote of the day,
D: you think I dun have the card?!
(card thown)
D: Ya, I dun have the card.......

ps: Thank you SM and ZS for the photos!

Melaka Trip- Part 1

Recently went to Melaka for a 3 days 2 night trip starting 6/12 - 8/12 with a bunch of awesome FIA friends: Hock Kuan, Denesh, Zhi Sum, Su Ann, Hey Herng and Siew Ming. The following will describe about the activities throughout the stay in Melaka in 3 different parts, each part describes the activities for one day.

Started the journey to Melaka at 8am, I was supposed to meet up with HH, SA and SM at Sunway at 8 to car-pool HK's car to the destination. Unfortunenately, I was late due to my too-safety driving skills (sorry la, SM, I haven't reach pro stage! XD).

The early 2 hours drive to Melaka, particularly to Sunny's house was quite normal, with nothing special happened. But once we stepped into Melaka, the real fun came in. According to a statistics revealed by HH, SA and SM, after the toll entering Melaka, we actually passed 14 traffic lights (Melaka people LOVE traffic lights), saw 5 weddings cars and 1 miserable chicken before we reached Sunny house. Denesh and ZS reached Sunny house 20 minutes later after fetched by his parents at Melaka Sentral. I still remember the call Sunny's parents made to him for confirmation: "Are your friends one Indian one Chinese?"

After reaching, went to a nearby shop to eat "Fish Paste-Yong Tau Fu Mee" We ordered separately but end out having 3 large plates of food placed in front of us other than the individual mee....What a filling 'BRUNCH'!

Then, we went to Mahkota Parade and Dataran Pahlawan for some very very fast window shopping. Since we are way ahead of our schedule, Sunny brought us to a Karaoke session at a KTV situation at The Jetty. THe lesson I learned here is: DO NOT go near ZS when he sings 'Seasons in the Sun' and 'Halo', especially the chorus part.....Funnily enough, we went back to Mahkota to treat ourselves for Cendol! I was the odd one out ordering Lin Chee Kang instead of Cendol ( too thirsty that time.....XD) Wow, the first time I drank Extra-SWEET Lin Chee Kang.

Later at evening, Sunny's parents brought us for a dinner session by having Ikan Bakar and other seafood at a restaurant near the river (I dun quite remember the name). The seafood was goodm but the epic one was the Kangkung ----spicy and explosive in the mouth. Notable good food: Ikan Bakar and the Padan-wrapped chicken.

After the Dinner session, went to the infamous Jonker Street. Saw stalls just like the Pasar Malam. Notable features here are the stage put up for the events, particularly singing ones. We had sticks of fruits soaked in melted sugar and the Taiwanese Pearl bubble tea (but this time with frog balls!) These frog balls eventually turned out to be ZS's favourite!

Lastly, ended our night by visiting the Eye on Malaysia at 11.30pm. The fare is relatively cheap of RM 8 (conditions: Malaysian student) . We managed to spun for 6 rounds on the ride. The starting was quite scary, especially the top part, since I personally have height-phobia. But later it was okay.....After the 3rd round, it was kinda nothing else to be seen. However stepping out of the ride, the scenery was nice with the Eye on Malaysia as the background.

A tiring day indeed.....

3/12 ----18

The above numbers are important numbers in my life. Yes its the Day in my life! When the clock strikes 12 on the 2nd, I have officially join the 18 years- old club. =)

Today was quite a phenomenal day. Though I didn't went out with a bunch of friends go here and there, The Day actually went on happily.

First of all, there was the birthday blessings from the Facebook, with bunch of friends expressing their blessings to me, which kick started my wonderful day. Seeing the blessings was a satisfying and happy 'activity' (guess I'm really easy to get contented XD). I am seriously happy to have recieved theses blessings from friends from primary to college. You all cheer up my life for sure! I seriously treasure the moments and memories I had with you all!

The afternoon went well with Choon Yen having a 'yumcha session' with me and my bro Old Town. (Choon Yen, if you're reading this, I sincerely thank your effort for coming all the way from KL to copy the software game for us, I hope you manage to get home before the rain)

Lastly, my family brought me for a scrumptious dinner at Restorant South Sea, near Sky Park at Subang to have a wonderful seafood meal as a celebration for The Day. Wow, that restaurant had went through some serious renovation, tt look classy!) The filling and tasty meal surely wraps up a memorable day in my life!

Utmost thanks to my family and fellow friends which made up a splendid Day for me!

PS: Happy Birthday to Dai Kar Jie, Su Ann!! =)

End of FIA

Phew, yesterday finally finish the final paper for FIA. In other words, its the last paper before FIA is officially over......=( However, it was not a good ending to the exam. The Psychology paper is quite demoralizing. Though I tried my best to answer whatever is possible, hoping to snatch whatever points given, hope Ms Wong give mercy......

After the streesful 3 days exam, its relaxation time. Me and the newly formed Magical Amigo group and Dennis, went to Sunway's Yuen Steamboat to treat ourselves a splendid meal (come on, the stress life is over, CHEERS!) The buffet was indeed very very fulling, with smart Eugene still call for a food game after rounds of amazing intake of food.....=.=

The whole dinner session was awesome, spending time talking craps and about the earlier parts of FIA life. But it was the birthday celebration that took the limelight. I couldn't help but to express my heartfelt thanks to Amigos, especially Sunny, Janice, Dennis and Kai Soon for preparing the wonderful surprise for an earlier birthday celebration surprise for both me and Dai Kar Jie. Till now still clearly remember the birthday song in my head (so touching......)

The saddest part after the dinner is to bid farewell to our the Amigos, the friends that have go through the FIA foundation course for 1 year. Sunny, my sai lou, particularly is going back Malacca, I'm so gonna miss the days I tease him and the moments that I ask for his help. (nevermind, the Malacca trip is coming XD)

After seeing Carmen's, Su Ann, Janice, Alvina and others blog on FIA programme and the memories, it certainly made me wonder how time flies, it also made me wanna express my feelings on the course, but I'm not gonna do it today......maybe later XD Keep an eye for the post on FIA!

ps: Went watching Twilight-New Moon with Hong Liang, Jee Khoon, Aik Zuan, Weng Yan and later joined by James Yap aka Pope Baldie and Yin Bin for an hour of non-stop bowling session. Thanks for those organizing the outing!

LET THE HOLIDAY PARTY BEGIN!

Phew.......

AHHHH, its been quite long since my last post.....

I am now able to blog due to some free time after managing to finish my 30-40 pages long report.... Phew, it's been quite a long 2 weeks in producing the final product.....

Another hectic week next week, English test, Finance test, Culture & Performance presentation, together with a whole NEW set of Mathematics questions which I believe will be more than 62 questions is set to keep me busy AGAIN. I wonder is any other courses that much homework?? o.O Hope someone can tell me the way to turn this homeworks to fun games! XP

Seeing students from other courses taking pictures in the foyer today makes me think of how time files. It's almost a year that I have joined FIA. Loads of fun, loads of homework, presentation and tests (well, I guess other courses are the same). Its been quite a fun year knowing new friends here and there, eg: 9091, Seiyeh's, Su Ann and friends, Denesh, Blair Blair, Hock Kuan...... XD

To Pre-U courses about to have examinations in whatever college, Good luck to you all!
To FIA students currently doing Englist project yet have time to read this post, Good luck too and 加油!!!
To SPM students reading this, Good luck for your SPM!!!!!

Bad Ride

Today morning, went to wait for bus to Sunway as usual, this is the timeline:

7.20 am: Waiting for bus to arrive with normal patience.
7.25 am: Bus still not arriving, few drops of rain felt, patience level dropping.
7.30 am: Sky darkened, rain turn heavy, change of plan - mum send me to SS2 to wait for the bus. Become more impatient as bus normally reach at 7.25 am =(
7.35 am: Reach SS2, began another session of waiting...... Where the hell is the bus?????!!!!
7.40 am: Me and two other passenger feel anxious as the bus is no way near sight. Rain pouring even heavier. (Is the bus involved in an accident?)
7.45 am: Bus FINALLY arrived, crawling like an old man, wah, though in sight, the bus took quite a while to arrive at the spot where me and a few people is waiting.
7.50 am: Its time to move!!!! OMG, we are crawling at a tortoise's speed...... I can't imagine how the cars behind get frustrated as there was loads of empty space in front of the bus, yet it moved so slooooowwwwwww.....
8.00 am: Reach the Kelana, the junction where we enter LDP. Crap, why is the bus driver busy on phone?
8.05am: Another bus came, then the assistant beside the bus driver said : 'bus breakdown, move to the bus in front'. =.=
8.20 am: After a 'wonderful' ride, we FINALLY (yes, finally) reach Sun-U.

Today seems to take eternity to reach Sun-U, luckily my class not on 8.30 am.......

PS: Guess what? The bus driver is the new bus driver who is scheduled to replace the previous one, and the bus he used today, I guess is the one which is suppose to pick us starting tomorrow onwards.......

Comeback

Wow, its been since a while from my last post..... thanks to weichuen for the reminder that my blog is near dead.....maybe this has to put the blame on very normal college life. Anyway, i'm back!

First of all, yes, sem 3 is similar to sem 1 and 2. Yet, with tonnes of homework and assignments saying hi and waving to me, it probably distinct itself from the previous sems....=( One more thing, I am extremely dissatisfy with the amount of hols we have for Raya, everyone seems to have one week, we only have 2.=.=

The most frustrating stuff may just go to the Malaysian Studies assignment which is related to 1Malaysia, max words 1250. o.o Still have headache on how to start it off. Gah, enough talk on boring study life, better talk some other things....

Till now, the most interesting about college life for me its the fun of making new friends, friends that we miss out in secondary and primary life. Till now, with only 70 over enrollment for FIA Jan intake, getting to know them isn't hard. In fact, I know everyone's name! =) (I'm not boasting!) With each sem going into classes with different college mates and conducting projects with them, its probably the most satisfying thing in college.

I'll just make this post a short one. If any interesting event comes, I will surely post it up and share with everyone.....( DIGI field trip this thurs may be one of them)

PS: HB is currently addicted to Naruto Shippuden anime and Ping Pong!

MLTR rocks!!!!

Just came back from a 3 days trip to Genting to catch Michael Learns To Rock (MLTR) Eternity Tour 2009. Initially I thought MLTR songs are like typical rocks songs---loud and a lot of screaming (no offense, rock fans). After the concert, I had my perspective redefined for the term rock. I became and instant fan of MLTR!

MLTR's approach is rock ballad, a sentimental genre, kinda my favourite. To name a few songs which really caught my attention are: Sleeping Child, The Actor, That's Why, 25 minutes and more (which I put on my blog for you guys to enjoy, trust me, they're GOOD!).

This was my first time watching a live concert ( I'm so outdated), so yeah, It was FUN and EXCITING. The whole Arena of Stars is like KTV, fans from all age level, sing along with the main lead, a mesmerizing experience! Words can't really describe the excitement surrounding the environment! The reception during the moment the concert started with MLTR singing Sleeping Child was overwhelming....

Well, encore part was kinda expected, LOL. Singers or bands who come to Malaysia surely need to prepare for encore! XD The concert ended with everyone giving a standing ovation to the Denmark band. Well Done MLTR, you rock for my first concert experience!

ps: its so disappointing that I forgot to bring my camera to take photos...... Regretted about that....

Facebook

Start of one week holidays

Yay, last friday just finish my sem 2 finals. Well, I wont said I did well, in fact there are a few papers in which I did some questions wrongly, namely maths and accounts. Haiz, just hope that the results will turn out well......>.<

The night after finals finished, I have been pretty active in Facebook activities, for those who read this, ya, you will say me quite lifeless, which is quite true. Another popular popular game I'm currently playing is OFM, Online Football Manager.

Tonight, been busy watching Badminton World Championships which was held in Hyderabad, India. Sadly enough, yesterday, our Malaysian top player, Chong Wei could not get pass Sony, the same dude who has beaten him in the previous world meet. The most disappointing thing is that we have 2 pairs in the semi-finals for Men Doubles, Koo-Tan and Zakry-Fairuzizuan, yet we couldn't get one of them to the finals. I had high hopes on them, but then, HAIZ.......

With the start of this holidays, guess I will be able to sleep longer hours........For all FIA students reading this post, Wish you guys have a happy and enjoyable holidays!!!!!! =)

Just survive 10 hours of Onslaught

Today is kinda one of the BUSY day.

First, done the business communication presentation. Just like the Angry German Kid clip. All-Spark V-series - The Unbelievable Isn't impossible

2 hours later, accounts test. After the test, still remember how John, Weiji, Steve and Adrian shout across the class......=.=

Another 2 hours later, even more frightening economics test. Dunno why, everytime going for econs test, feel extremely stressful, maybe because of how Ms Suzana presurrized us throughout the test. In addition, Econs test everytime doesn't seem to have enough answering time......

I have managed to survive 10 hours of torturing onslaught! Yay!!!

2nd family

Yesterday was our class's 5th party. It was just awesome to be able to meet up with almost all of them. Though all of us are in different courses at different colleges now, to be able to get together, play and eat is simply satisfying.

We really do bond well with one another by having such gatherings. To me, 5S6 is like a big family. To tell the truth, S6 life really gave me a sense of belonging. It felt fun although we merely play cards, mahjong and ate steamboat. The gathering was simply, yet full of reminiscence of the F4 and 5 life with photos of S6 members in class and class trips flashing though the TV. We even had a video call with Evelyn who is in Ireland now. Its kinda waste that she was in library that does not allow her to speak.

I have to thank Kee Siang from fetching me to Siew Cen's house though at one stage, we went lost and nearly go all the way to Klang ( LOL, no offense la, KS). Another thanks to Siew Cen for always providing the place for the party to be held. To the wonderful Cooks (Xiau Yen, I-Ting and Hua Yen) the food was delicious. Last but not least, thanks to those who provide the fun throughout the gathering.

Transformers 2 - Revenge of the Fallen

What can I say, the movie was superb! All the stunts, the actions and the graphics, THUMBS UP! However, there are some downsides of the movie, some autobots are not introduced well. Then, in the end, no news on what happened to Megatron and Starscream. Finally, the ending was not ended in a good way. Other than that, its a movie that deserves praises.

PS: Watching movie in weekdays near my house is just superb. No need for the rush and push from large crowd. Looking forward for more trips to Tropicana City's GSC cinema.

Death of a Star

Yesterday heard of the news of the sudden death of Michael Jackson. I was quite stunned to hear such a news which send shock waves around the world. The world mourns the loss of a great Star, the one and only King of Pop. Passing away at an age of 50, its trully a loss of great talent.

Speaking about Michael Jackson, who never heard of the name. Though I'm not a diehard fan of Michael, he was no doubt the most infulential person in the entertainment industry. Some of his songs such as Beat It, Billy Jean, Thriller, Black and White, Man in Mirror, You're Not Alone and We Are the World are my all-time favourite. Yes, he does have some ugly news about child molestation and the various controversial plastic surgery which changes his face completely, he still prove to be a true wonderkid in the Music world. In the midst of these negative news, do you know he is the first one to create a story-based MV? He has paved way for these interactive music videos that we have today. It is not ridicule to label him as the man who redefine the Pop genre. But behind those succeses, he has a sorry childhood.

Now, everyone has to miss the moonwalk and other wonderful dance moves. Its quite saddening that he is unable to start his comeback concert tour. R.I.P. King of Pop, you will live in the hearts of many through your unforgettable songs.

Kickstarting the holidays

Yes, another one week holiday!

Today went to Golden Screen Cinema in Tropicana City. I had high hopes on this cinema as it was the nearest cinema to my house. I was hoping to be able to watch good movies in the future without having the problems of going far. I went there for a FREE screening session of old movies. Well, since I hadn't got the chance to see the movie Ip Man. Here comes the chance.

In conclusion, the movie was good. the Wing Chun kungfu was awesome. As good as machine gun. However, the theatre still below par. Before the screening of the movie, they had the usual advertisements and trailers. At that time, they actually need to align the projections up and down. That was awful. Not to mention the relatively small spaces between the audiences with the screen. OMG, I just can't imagine people sitting in the front row. How would they be able to watch the movies without spraining their neck.

In comparison with the place where I watched Terminator Salvation, GSC cinema in Tropicana City does not meet up to my expectation. Yet, the sound system was not bad.

I will still prefer too watch Transformers 2: Revenge for the Fallen in Sunway Pyramid. Just can't wait to get hold of the movie ticket!

Suffocation

No thanks to the growing haze, the air seems choking. The few drizzles these days may have relieved the ongoing haze problem, but more is yet to come....

Besides suffocating in haze, the assignments and topic test certainly doesn't brighten days up.... Tomorrow Economics test, may the force be with us.....Its a 2 hours war....

Our demand for freedom are high, yet the supply is limited. Its obvious that there is a shortage of free time. Therefore, the price for freedom rise enormously ....

P = Pass

Yay, as you can see from the title, I have officially PASS my driving test!!!! That means I can have to freedom to drive on the roads now!

Big hurray, but homeworks and assignments are piling up fast....No time to really celebrate.....

M & M

Its a M&M night. Its the night for both my favourite club, Manchester United and Malaysia team in the Sudirman Cup. However, its also a night of joy and sorrow.

Joy part---Manchester United have managed to salvage a draw with Arsenal, further paving the path to them to be crowned once again as the English Premier League Champions for three consecutive seasons!! YAY! It means three trophies this season: Club World Cup Champoinship, Carling Cup and of course the latest EPL Champion Title. One more to go: Champions League! Go, Red Devils!

Sorrow part--- Our local badminton team lost 3-0 to China in Sudirman Cup semi-final. ALL the match was nail-biting. The first point, our mixed double started well but ended losers to the mightier Olympic Gold Medalist. The second game, Lee Chong Wei played a very brave and memorable game. But the machine-like Lin Dan too powerful. Curse D. Lin for not making more mistakes. Chong Wei played way better than the way he had during Olympic. He put up a great fight. (clap hands to him) Third match, I was so scared it will become a one-sided game dominated by China. Luckily, Koo-Tan WINS the first game 21-19, phew, so close. However, Lady-Luck was not with them in the second and third game. Especially in the third, where our shuttlers lost 23-21. NOOOO. Anyway, they put up a good fight.

Overall, all our shuttlers deserve a good pat in their shoulder for a good job done to reach the semi-finals. We still have to do a lot of homework to groom our younger players. We are too reliant to our current batch.

Anyway, I want to express my hatred feelings to Li Yong Bo. You do not respect our players. Your saying and boast of getting Sudirman Cup without losing a game has disgrace the sport. Your shoutings in the court has disgust me! I wonder when will doom cast upon you!

Homecoming and reminiscence

Phew, finally finish 3 days of tiring tests! Holidays began yesterday. But wait, its only five days of pathetic semester break until Sunday. Excluding Weekends, there are only 3 days. Friday is Labour Day, another day conned by Sunway. Whoa, what a break!!!! =(

Yesterday went back to CHS to get my stuff which I miss out on Majlis Anugerah Cemerlang, no thanks to the moral test. Its been a special "homecoming". Stepping inside the school area, I am bearing a new identity--I am no longer a CHS student. Upon getting the things from Pn Ya, I went to PK HEM room to certify cert. Before that, Happy Retirement to Pn Kok Pey Shan! My sincere thanks to Pn Kok for making last year's H&G concert a success! Haiz, CHS lost another good teacher....

Lets continue with the story....

Before, I approach Pn Lim Yoke Keng to certify the certs, I heard the ringing tone of the familar school bell. Although its only a few months after I have graduated from my secondary life, the significant bell sound never fail to make me recall the good old days at CHS, the prefect bunch (Hong Liang, Min Chern, James), 5S6 gang (bird gang, hysterical Hua Yen, my coach Wei Chuen etc). Ah, darn misses the quotes from Wei Chuen and the lively surroundings of S6.

During the cert certifying period, never thought to be welcomed by a friendly smile by Pn Lim, haha, felt so weird yet relieved (relieved that she's not in a bad mood). After getting the certs done, I managed to meet up with a few teachers like Pn Ang and Mr Michael, getting a few rounds of chit-chat.

Before leaving the school, I had a final stare at the familar school compound before leaving to enjoy my few PATHETIC holidays at HOME.

Stressful April life

Its been darn long since I last posted. This has to blame my never-ending assisgnments. First you have project paperwork, then you have presentation, the have a play, and smaller tests, finally semester test. It all sneaks up this month, so its freaking busy. I now began to recall those secondary life, though quite busy, but then at least NOT THAT CRAMP UP!!!

Haiz, really hope for the semester break to come...... Though mine not as stressful as A-levels or Australian matriculation (I assume), my course do prove to a certain extent a killing one. One thing I'm happy is when I open my blog, the number of visitors has recorded 4 digits. YAY!!!

I thirst for a break, and I hunger for the chance to be able to blog....

I will be back.....

Not so good part of JPA scholarship

Here's the story...

First of all, I would like to thank Min Chern for informing me about the JPA scholarships. Just in case anyone of you would like to apply for JPA scholarship, better be quick. The closing date is on 18/3/2009.

The sad part of JPA Scholarship - I most likely pursue a career in Accountancy and Finance, but the conditions for applying the scholarship is must have an A2 in "Prinsip Perakaunan". Where the heck am I going to find for an A in accounting for SPM??!! I started to regret for not taking accounts in F4 and F5. But what to do, time flies. Nothing can be changed. Besides, who can guarantee of getting at least A2 for Accounts?

Haiz, now can only search for other scholarships. Hope there is one which taken into consideration that science stream students switching into accounting course in college. Worst case scenario, study like mad to fight with other outstanding students in my course to get a Sunway scholarship. Its a war to fight. An indeed long and tough one....

Good day = Bad day

Today, its one of my best day, yet its a bad day too...

Early till evening, Me, my brother, Choon Yen, Chi Ping, Shin Yee, Yen Shiang and Lay Lian went to Mid Valley for bowling games. Before I continue on the good day part. Let me emphasize that do not, yes, DO NOT go to Mid Valley Megamall for bowling games. The bowling place is very lousy.

First of all, the bowling alley, kind of slippery. Then, the bowling pins, fell off itself in the game without being shoot on, yes though I do get a lot of EXTRA points from there, the game wasn't fun, its not geniunne. Thirdly, I hate the atmosphere in the bowling. We was enjoying ourselves in the game, when the lights suddenly went off to pave way for the disco lights. I think that was a STUPID idea. They made the whole place dirt dark. The bowling pins glowing with blue light. I NEVER thought that was a wonderful atmosphere. In fact the dimming or should I say, the switching off the lights give a negative impact on all of us, except Yen Shiang. Yen Shiang I think next time you should turn off the lights before playing bowling. You did darn well after the lights were turn off. Last but not least, the workers there are NOT POLITE. They simply just take off your bowling balls from your lane before asking. MAN, they really are a menance. When I asked him, he said we are being selfish of taking many balls. OMG, Look at the other lanes before giving away our bowling balls to other people. Are you BLIND?! The others have tonnes of bowling balls and you come to "usik " ours !!! CHECK YOUR EYES, dude!

Fortunately enough, though I lost the first game, the second one, at the verge of settling for second in the second game. I manage to secure a DOUBLE strike to end up winning. ITs 109 to 105. Muahaha, feels awesome!!!

Tonight, I also suffered a bad day. I witness the demolition of MU by Liverpool. 4-1 scoreline. WHAT IS THIS???!! Initially, when I switch on the channel to watch the game, it was 1-1. Come on MU, win this and EPL title is almost yours. Then nightmare begins. I witness all three other goals by Liverpool live. OMG, am I a jinx? It seems to me that Van Der Sar today seems like sleeping.....The penalty, nothing to say. I can understand its 50:50 chance. 2-1. Then the third goal. Free kick. DARN! Van Der Sar just stand from right and watch the ball go left into the net. They call it watched HELPLESSLY (perhaps he can try to save....I dunno) 3-1. MU enough la, no more humuliation, pls. Reina's goalkick went far straight to a Liverpool striker and he lift the ball high until Van Der Sar was in front of the ball and it went straight to the net. What a way to conceding a goal. 4-1. At the same time, Vidic was a one to blame. His mistake conceded the first goal, and he get himself sent off later to give way to a third goal.

Today, I'm happy, yet I'm sad....

Sincere thanks

For the yesterday's class party 4, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the organisers and coordinators of the event, namely Fiona who provided the location and Xiau Yen and I-Ting for putting the effort in preparing the food.

Though yesterday's party (I might call it gathering better =P) was kinda short, it was full of fun. Getting the opportunity to get together with old classmates were just awesome. Many things changed. Almost everyone seemed different. Wei Chuen shaved his hair; Hua Yen grades shot up in college (man, luckily I didn't go to taylor); Mei Wei opt for contact lenses (less blur look); Justin, Brian, Yee Hang, Roger and even Xiau Yen dye their hair; Yeong Shing sporting a long haircut (quite cool).

The most disappointing stuff in the party is not able to see some like Wai Kit, Siew Cen, Evelyn, Seng Tzer and others (sorry if I miss out your name). If you guys were around, things will be much more interesting, especially Tzen Haw aka Bird King.

Can't wait for next party or gathering. Till then, take care...Wait, we do meet at results day...

ps: Xiau Yen, careful with the Chili sauce...

The DAY

Its coming soon. Its been three months since officially leaving CHS compound. Now the heat is on. The incident where all F5 students scared the most, including me. The time has ARRIVED.

Its one week counting down to the arrival of the much-awaited moment. The mist of anxiousness will befall all ex-F5 students. Its like a war. The surrouding is tense. No one will ever get a glimpse until the DAY. The DAY we've been talking. The DAY which strike fear in all 08 SPM-takers. The DAY we've been waiting...

Beware, all my 08 F5s friends. IT is COMING....

Luke: You killed my father!!!

Darth Vader: No, I am YOUR FATHER.

Luke: NOOOOOO.......!!!!!!

Back to college days......

Haiz, a week of Chinese New Year holiday came to an end, man, time does fly fast. After one week of break, just don't feel like going back to college yet....though life has to move on. I really pity those HELP-ian who only have FOUR days of break until TUESDAY (27/1/2009). Maybe this is the reason why they're the one of the best provider for Pre-U studies...

Anyway, one thing I'm really looking forward to is the first driving lesson on this coming Fri. YES! Finally get to drive a car. =) Wish me luck.....
